IT ONLY TAKES A SPARK!

Won’t you help Spark empower more East Tennessee families as we work together to knock down the barriers created by disability?

Spark (formerly known as East Tennessee Technology Access Center) is a non-profit that is celebrating its 35th anniversary. We use assistive technology to help people with disabilities to live, work and play more fully and independently.

Spark fiercely advocates for its clients. There is no cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all approach. At Spark, its staff analyzes each individual’s issue and innovates a solution.

Sparky

Meet Sparky

Sparky is the newest member of the Spark team, filling the position of mascot. Sparky is a salamander whose unique abilities represent many of Spark’s principles. Salamanders can regenerate tails and limbs symbolizing rebirth and renewal. They can also withstand fire, demonstrating incredible determination and resilience in the face of adversity. Sparky is a native amphibian of East Tennessee and has a cousin, the Tennessee Cave Salamander, who is the official state amphibian for Tennessee!
